Banjo, named Banshou (バンショウ) in the Japanese version, is a character from Medabots Spirit.

Description[]

Banjo is a fan of video games and is the self proclaimed arcade king of the city, but his talents aren't limited to just simple games. Banjo is a Rogue Medafighter. When going to Robattle, he always used the devil-type Kilobot, Redrun. He is very competitive and likes challenges.

Banjo plays to win at anything he tries. While he has no interest in Robattles, he is the most powerful of Kam's Rogue Medafighters, and unlike the others that follow Kam for help and free Kilobots and parts, he does it for a good challenge. Kam gave Redrun to Banjo due to his talent.

History[]

Banjo's first appearance was in Fall from Grace (1), where he helped Kam's plan to smear Ikki's reputation as a Medafighter by recording Kilobots beating up Metabee ruthlessly and editting the footage to make it look like Metabee was the one beating Kilobots, with Banjo defeating Metabee with Redrun.

In Mystery Medafighter Unmasked?, Banjo assists Kam's plan to unmask the Mystery Medafighter, defeating his two Medabots.

In Roks Reborn, Kam asks Banjo to defeat Arc-Dash and Tyrelbeetle, the best Medabots from the Medabot Corporation, to show the superiority of the Kilobots. Banjo was able to defeat Ginkai's Arc-Dash, and he also defeated Ikki's Metabee again when he got on his way, but his Redrun was later defeated with a combined Medaforce blast from Roks and Metabee during his search for the Mystery Medafighter's Tyrelbeetle.

In Poor, Miss Nae, Ikki wins against Banjo on several games, and Banjo challenges Ikki to a Robattle. Banjo decides to have a fair Robattle against Ikki, saying that he realized that fighting with rules is more challenging then fighting without them. Metabee struggles against Redrun, but in the end Banjo and Redrun are defeated, and Nae offers to repair Redrun for him.

In the Japanese version, he also had a brief appearance in Into the Fire.
