Bayonet (ベイアニット) is a KBT-type Medabot that first appeared in Medarot 2.

Bayonet, like his predecessor Metabee, is based on a rhinoceros beetle. His head has a single horn that splits in two at the end. Unlike Metabee, Bayonet's armor is mostly dark brown with brown and white accents. His arms also lack visible hands.

Compared to Metabee, Bayonet's parts have greater armor, but as compensation, his attack power is reduced. The two are otherwise identical in function: a Missile launcher in the head provides a strong and accurate attack, Bayonet's right arm's Rifle is very fast, and his left arm's Gatling gun is slower than Metabee's but very powerful.

In the games

In both Medarot 2 and the remake Medarot 2 Core, Bayonet's parts can be obtained in the Kabuto version by completing all of the Medalink Robattles. In Medarot 2 Core, he is also used by Dr. Armond alongside Zorin and Robo-Emperor. Bayonet focuses on shooting attacks, making him an obvious choice for the Kabuto Medal.

In Medarot 2

Since this game listed Metabee as KBT-0, Bayonet was given the model number KBT-1. It was changed to KBT-2 in later games.

In Medarot R

Bayonet's model number is now KBT-2.

In Medarot 2 Core

Unlike in Medarot 2, Bayonet's model number is still KBT-2 as in Medarot R.

In the anime

In episode 51, Metabee has a dream where he leads an army of Bayonets against Rokusho and his army of Zorins. In the end, everyone except Metabee was defeated.

During Medabots Spirits, though, Bayonet is the Medabot Ginkai used to have before he got his first Kilobot. Later his Kabuto Medal is reused on his Arcbeetle-Dash. His old body was given away as a gift for Ginkai's cousin. His Medal is a rare and was a gift for Ginkai by Zuru's father because he accidentally crushed his drawings when he was a child.
