Summary[]
Rokusho appears before Ikki and his friends. Rokusho did not knew that Metabee was captured, and said that he came to put an end to the evil Rubberobo Gang. Meanwhile, Dr. Aki and Miss Caviar pinpointed the location of strange radio waves emitted by the Rubberobo Gang.
Plot[]
Continuing from the previous episode, Rokusho knocks down the Medafighters from the three Belzelgas, and ejects the Devil Medals from their Medabots, saying that the Belzelgas are not to blame for having evil Medafighters. Rokusho was unaware that Metabee was captured, informing that his meeting with Ikki was a coincidence as he was after the Rubberobo Gang to put a stop to their evil plans, and assists in their rescue. While inside an elevator, Samantha and Koji patch up Peppercat and Sumilidon, and Rokusho informs what he and Barton discovered during their search for Professor Hushi. Meanwhile, Barton went to the Medabot Corporation to give the same information to Dr. Aki.
Under the remains of their former home, Rokusho and Barton found a secret lab, where they discovered that the Medals were not originally created by Professor Hushi, but by an ancient civilization that existed long before humankind even existed. The Medals known as Rare Medals are the original Medals from that period, explaining the fossilized Medals seen in the entrance of the ruins. Professor Hushi researched those Medals and found a way to replicate them, formulating a Medal theory that he taught to Dr. Aki, who used it to create copies of the Medals and commercialized them as a key component from the Medabots.
Unfortunately, the Rubberobo Gang's leader also knows the truth about the Rare Medals, and found that the originals can have a strong influence over their copies. Miss Caviar calls Dr. Aki and informs that a strong transmission is coming from the Miyami Ruins and is using the Terakado satellites to spread all over the world. The Rubberobo Gang is transmitting an energy pulse from Metabee's rare Beetle Medal that allows them to control all Medabots that have clone Beetle Medals, including Erika's Brass, Rintaro's Kantaroth, and the Tankars in the Medabot Corporation, who go on a rampage.
Seeing the chaos, Dr. Aki wonders if someone is trying to reproduce the tragic event that happened eight years ago. The Rubberobo Gang's leader makes a global announcement informing that he is behind the rampage, and gives the world two options. Surrender to him, and he will stop the rampaging Medabots, otherwise they will go on and destroy the human civilization. He gives 30 minutes for the leaders around the world to give their response. Shortly after delivering his ultimatum, Ikki and the others arrive in his lair to stop him and rescue Metabee.
The Rubberobo Gang's leader, Dr. Meta-Evil, reveals that he was one of Professor Hushi's apprentices, and he helped him created Rokusho. When he suggested Professor Hushi to use his Medal theory to conquer the world, he showed no interest, and even planned to destroy his theory to avoid it from being misused, but Dr. Meta-Evil fought with him for it and set his lab on fire. After learning that he was the responsible for the fire, Rokusho attacks him, but he is hit by several missiles. Dr. Meta-Evil's right arm suddenly had a Bombarder part. Koji theorizes that he may be a cyborg, being part man and part Medabot, and they have to Robattle him, but they struggle as he can change his arms into any part he desires. Ikki sends Churlybear's right arm to Sumilidon and asks Koji to use it on him, sending him flying to the glass tube holding Metabee so he can try to free him. Dr. Meta-Evil tries to stop Ikki, but Rokusho, Sumilidon and Peppercat keep him busy.
Meanwhile, Erika and Rintaro are having trouble with their out of control Medabots. Erika and Karin are protected by Neutranurse, but after some time she passes out, overheating, and Erika jumps on Brass and hugs her, asking her to come back to normal. Rintaro tried to use his Medawatch to eject Kantaroth's Medal, but it is not working. After Rintaro, Sloan, and Spyke are cornered, Sloan says he will call Totalizer to fight back, but Rintaro asks him to not harm his friend. Sloan tells him to do something about it then, but Rintaro does not know what to do. The Chick Seller (who was now selling rabbits) appears, and his conversation motivated Rintaro to fight for his friend, punching Kantaroth in the face.
Dr. Meta-Evil defeated Peppercat, Sumilidon, and Rokusho, and says that all Medabots will now bow down to him, but Ikki tells him that Metabee is stubborn and would never obey him, and he hits the glass holding Metabee, damaging it. Dr. Meta-Evil flies to stop Ikki, but the Phantom Renegade and Arcbeetle appear and hold him down. The doctor is puzzled by the fact that Arcbeetle is not under his control, as he must have a Beetle Medal, and deduces that Arcbeetle may also have a Rare Medal. Ikki manages to release Metabee, but he was not responding, worrying Ikki. Ikki started crying, and he calls Metabee a stubborn piece of junk. Metabee then emits the light from the Medaforce, and the machine he is attached to overloads, damaging the room, with debris falling over Dr. Meta-Evil. The transmission controlling all Medabots with a clone Beetle Medal stopped, with Erika and Rintaro being glad to see their Medabots back to normal, with Kantaroth complaining of the punch he took.
Ikki and Metabee have a happy reunion, and Erika's and Rintaro's groups manage to reunite with Ikki. However, Dr. Meta-Evil is not down yet, and says that none of them will leave, but before he can do anything, his cat talks, saying that he failed and is no longer needed. Dr. Meta-Evil asks the cat to wait, but the cat's eyes shine and Dr. Meta-Evil is debilitated, with a Medal ejecting from his back. The cat grabs the Medal and runs away with it, placing it inside Giganko. Everyone is surprised to learn that the Rubberobo Gang's leader was a Medabot. As the room was damaged and started shacking, Rokusho suggests that they should leave due to the danger. Outside the ruins, they witness Giganko's activation.
Trivia[]
- In this episode, Ikki is seen lending Churlybear's right arm to Sumilidon. It is unknown when and from who Ikki won this part, but as Ikki was seen defeating Spyke in the episodes Cyandog Bites Back (with Spyke winning this part before their match), Meet Your Meda-Maker, and Metabee Vs. Rokusho (alongside Sloan and Samantha), Ikki likely won it from him in one of those matches.
- Of note, in the Japanese version from Meet Your Meda-Maker, Ikki told Spyke that he will take a part as a reward from him at a later time, so Spyke may have given this part instead of one from Cyandog after this match.
- The parts used by Dr. Meta-Evil are the right arms from Robo-Emperor and Stingaray, the left arms from Spidar, Megaphant and Phoenix, and the legs from Phoenix.
In the episode[]
Background[]
English dub changes[]

Brass aiming her gun.

Smoke coming out from the Medabot Corporation.

Medarot text in Rintaro's Medawatch.

Neutranurse details in Karin's Medawatch.

Smasher in Koji's Medawatch.
- Ikki falling from the helicopter in the recap was reduced. Other changes done in the previous episode also apply to the recap, except that the removed scene with Ikki running was kept.
- The dub added extra lines and info, such as Belzelga and Tankar gaining lines (both being silent in the original) and Dr. Meda-Evil naming his operation as Beetle Mania (after Metabee's Medal).
- Several scenes had small duration reductions in the dub, such as the three Rubberobo Gang members attacked by Rokusho falling faster, the outside of the elevator, the first scene with Rokusho talking inside the elevator, Dr. Aki talking with Barton, and Erika and Karin taking a break from their running.
- A fadeout was added before showing the global transmission coming from the Miyami Ruins.
- Erika and Rintaro notice that something is wrong with Brass and Kantaroth sooner in the dub. Rintaro: "Yay! Dude, you rocked those rocks! Dude? What's up with the red eyes?"
- The close up of Brass aiming on Erika was replaced by a duplicate of her previous appearance.
- The outside of the Medabot Corporation was cut.
- In the original, Dr. Meta-Evil (Dr. Hebereke in Japanese) informed his name in his global transmission before his appearance was revealed. In the dub, his name is revealed at the same time as his appearance.
- Of note, he is only known as Dr. Hebereke in Japanese, while in English he gained the pseudonym Dr. Meta-Evil, with his real name being later revealed to be Armond.
- Ikki and Koji yelling with Samantha after she said to Dr. Meta-Evil that the ones who will conquer the world will be the Screws was cut. Koji asked her since when he is part of the Screws, and Ikki asked why she would even want to conquer the world.
- The eyecatches were replaced by a fadeout.
- The Medarot text in Rintaro's Medawatch was removed.
- Koji's Medawatch screen was editted. Smilodonod was replaced by Sumilidon, which was added on a black background and made part of the black line on the top, which was also editted and cut part of the light around the "Type STG" text, being more noticeable in the top. The parts Flexer Sword, Straw Hammer, and Sharp Edge, were respectively replaced by Sharp Edge, Flexor Sword, and Lower Driver. Hunter was not changed. The texts in the bottom, "Sharp Edge destruction" and "Out of control", were replaced by "legs 100% damage" and "leg function ceased".
- On its second appearance (shortly after Peppercat's screen), the messages "Hunter destruction" and "Out of control" were replaced by "100% damage" and "Function ceased". In the original, the parts list now correctly informed that Sumilidon was equipped with Smasher instead of Flexer Sword, and his right arm is bigger in the picture, although it kept Sumilidon's pointy shoulder instead of the current round shoulder. This change was forgotten in the first appearance and in the dub.
- The chick seller's dialogues are quite different:
- In the original, the chick seller informs that rabbits are very needy and they will die if they are not given enough attention, and that humans are similar in that they are unable to live alone. Sloan asks what he was doing in the ruins, but his question is not answered. The seller then tells Rintaro that he is not alone yet, and he must give his best before he loses his friend. Understanding what he meant, Rintaro punches Kantaroth to see if that makes him come back to his senses.
- In the dub, the chick seller says that while kids nowadays are into Medabots, they should try buying a rabbit, saying that once they do they will agree that rabbits can be great friends. Sloan asks if he was not a chicken seller, and the seller informs that he sold all of his chickens to a kennel (implying that they became food). He then asks if they are interested in a rabbit, saying that they will make them popular despite being unable to Robattle. Rintaro says that rabbits are not cool and he punches Kantaroth, saying that he needs him back. After Kantaroth returned to normal, Sloan says that Rintaro now will not need to trade him for a rabbit.
- In Karin's Medawatch, Saintnurse was replaced by Neutranurse, the parts Holy Wall, Donor, Translate, and Petty Coat were replaced by Shielding, Output Repair, Defense Field, and Primary Drive, and the texts in the bottom, "Overheat", "Ganglion laceration", and "Holywall dysfunction", were replaced by "overheating" and "function ceased". Note that Holy Wall was written with space in the parts list and without space in the message, and Medawatch texts are only written in capital letters.
- Likewise, Peppercat's Medawatch screen details had the parts Light Circuit, Light Jab, Light Blow, and Quick Alert replaced by Shocker, Right Arm, Left Arm, and Battery, and the lower texts, "Light Circuit destruction" and "Out of control", were replaced by "100% damage" and "Function ceased". The borders of the screen were also slightly editted, cutting part of the brightness above the "Type CAT" text in the top.
- Dr. Meta-Evil turning his face to look at Ikki was replaced by a fadeout.
- The scenes before and after Ikki calls Metabee a "stubborn piece of junk" were cut, the former showing Ikki sad and the latter Metabee coming back online.
- In the original, Dr. Aki thanks Ikki for solving the problem. In the dub, Dr. Aki thanks Ikki and himself, adding humor to the line.
- The scene with Spyke crying and Samantha complaining that Peppercat is in an awful shape was cut. In the following scene, Peppercat and Samantha demand Ikki to thank Samantha for their help, while in the original Samantha tells Ikki that he will have to pay for Peppercat's repairs as they went out of their way to help him and Metabee.
Characters[]
Note: All characters are listed in order of their first appearances in the episode. The time they appear is the time from the Japanese dub. The recap is not considered, so Seaslug, Gillgirl and Squidguts are not included.
