Not wanting to waste time to fight him, Ikki and Metabee's strategy is basically...  Running away from him causing Ginkai and his Kilobot to give chase. In an attempt to shake off Ginkai and Sherwood the duo went inside the Ginjyo Market with the other two still in hot pursuit. Being followed Ikki and Metabee decide to turn corner to stop Sherwood from locking on him. While they thought to have lost him until the two showed up, this time in a grocery cart. Sherwood's bowgun is then replaced with Cutter's Sword and with Metabee nearly running out of ammo, Ikki decides to distract him by throwing vegetables at him, causing Sherwood to perform slice n dice on it. The audience applaud but Ginkai realizes this and decides to continue pursuit with the store owner shouting "No pets and Medabots allowed!"

Later, Samantha and Peppercat enter the store; Ikki greets her and asks about her visit, with her telling Ikki that she will buy groceries for her mom. After hearing this, Ikki and Metabee decides to bolt out. Afterwards Samantha and Peppercat are run over by Ginkai's pushcart.

Amidst the dark tunnels, the two robbers discuss their plans, with the lackey pointing out that they have no ammo left, the lead robber tells him to calm down and assures that the people won't know that. After this they proceed to rob the bank, later as Ikki is attempting to get to the office, the lackey bumps onto Ikki, causing a domino effect as the crook's sock masks fly off and onto Ikki's hands, he is confused as to what he is holding until a woman shouts "Careful, he's armed!" when the robbers found out Ikki saw their face (and therefore a witness), he (hilariously enough) aims his finger at him with the intention of kidnapping them to keep them quiet about their involvement.

While Ginkai and Sherwood doesn't notice them, Samantha and Peppercat did, and as revenge for using her as a distraction has Peppercat to change Light Jab with Krosserdog's Aim Rifle and fires at Ikki and MetaBee (and unintentionally the robbers next to them), this allows the two the opportunity to escape from them and Samantha to give chase (and later Ginkai), when the robbers plan on escaping too, their getaway car they are supposed to use has its tires shot, forcing them to hide on the same tunnels they came in.

Ikki and Metabee were jogging along hoping that they'll get to the station without incident before they were confronted by Ginkai and Samantha who had boarded a pickup truck to get there. The two were shocked, but before they attempt to escape the robbers (whose disguise only consist of a helmet) catch up to them, removes their gloves and hardhats and demands Ikki to bring them back their briefcase. Ikki considers returning it, until he remembers that its only a trick (not knowing that the case he's holding does indeed contain the stolen money). Out of options they decide to run in the alley to escape, then running along the walls with their pursuers on tail.
  +
While escaping, they run past the police officer and recognizes the robbers, causing him to call for backup consisting of additional officers and a police helicopter, with Ikki being mistaken for being wanted.

  +
After they notice the train station they immediately go there in order to get to the office his dad is located, however the robbers, Ginkai, and Samantha all get tickets there. The police surround them and orders the robbers to put their hands up and surrender (but all the kids think they're suspects too), Ikki notices that the next train is arriving and rushes there while the rest are distracted but before going after them too. The police go on a pursuit but not before getting tickets there (much to the sergeant's dismay)

  +
While he waits for the train, Ginkai and the robber's voice are heard at a distance and hopes that they won't get there. Fortunately the train arrives allowing the two to get in just as the others found him.

  +
A Robattle begins on a train causing most of the passengers to go to the other train car (even as the speakers pointing out that Robattling is prohibited there), while Metabee and Sherwood are busy fighting, Samantha confronts Ikki and blames him for dragging her along with Ikki replying that she and Ginkai fit together.
(Will work on later...)

  +
Sherwood kicks Metabbe causing him to stumble and sat on the floor, just as the Kilobot goes for a finishing blow, Metabee suddenly hangs on the handles and finish him off with a kick, knocking Sherwood out. As Ikki and Metabee celebrates however Sherwood gets back up and knocks Metabee through the window with a shoulder barge. Ikki thinks that Metabee's fallen through, though luckily Metabee manages to hold on and the battle continues on the train's roof.
  +
  +
The police helicopter announces the two Medabots battling their and the two fight, the train passes under a tunnel and Sherwood takes advantage of a brief darkness to dissappear and ambush Metabee from behind and Sherwood aims a TriBuster at him. Fortunately Ikki tells Metabee to shot his foot causing him to stumble off balance onto Metabee and throws him off the train apparently defeating the Kilobot.
  +
  +
Ikki then gets off the train to head off to the Ginjyo Office, before Samantha can get off, she was dragged back by passengers getting on the train and allowing Ikki to move on unhindered just as Ikki's dad is on the meeting board. With time nearly running out before the two can continue, theres a gunfire on the floor, turns out, Sherwood is still active, this time using flying parts. Ikki equips flying parts on Metabee so he can fight against Sherwood in the air, and Ikki goes inside to deliver the briefcase.
  +
  +
Ikki arrives in time, and the robbers are taken by the police before they catch Ikki, making them drop their briefcase in front of Ikki's father. When Ikki says he arrived with the case, Jouzou thanks Ikki and starts the reunion. Ikki is confused, and when he opens his case, he finds that it was full of money. The police takes the case and thanks Ikki for his assistance. Outside, Metabee defeats Sherwood. Later, far away from there, Samantha wonders where she is.

Cuts/Edits
*Shortly after Ikki and Metabee thought to have lost both Sherwood and Ginkai in a grocery chase, Sherwood actually is sitting on top of a light lamp and takes a surprise shot at MetaBee, narrowly missing him and sent him flying towards the products. In addition, the results are shown during the chase; with lots of grocery items falling down, complete with customers being inconvenienced by the situation. This was cut in the Localized version.

*Originally, after leaving the Ginjou Grocery Store, the scene quickly shifts to the robbery in progress with the lead robber aiming his gun at them, while his lackey is stuffing all the money in the briefcase (thus explaining their getaway car on the outside), this was shortened when it was localized.

*Cut in the localized version is after Ginkai has Sherwood change his right arm to that of Bank Tank's Tribuster. The Robber rushes at Ikki in an attempt to snatch the brefcase he is holding. As Ginkai orders Sherwood to shoot at Ikki, the robber jumps in at the same time and is the one who got hit instead, forcing his lackey to carry him while the lead robber recovers from his rear related injuries.

Trivia
Trivia
  +
*From this episode, the Japanese ending credits is now in color and has a few changes.
*In the English Dub the store owner yells "No pets and Medabots allowed!" but in the original version he simply shouts "Hey! No Robattles allowed"

  +
*The parts used by Ginkai's Sherwood are Meduzard's right arm, Tankbank's left arm, and Patriorder's legs. Samantha's Peppercat used Cyandog's right arm, and Ikki's Metabee used LadyBooster's legs.
*The robbery planning scene (set in the tunnel the two are in) is only added in the International version to compensate for trimming down the grocery chase scene.

  +
*Even though the gun was edited so that the robber simply aims his finger at him, the police officers from the later scene had their guns unedited.

  +
Background
*While the robber aims a gun at Ikki, Ginkai and Sherwood run past them as the two robber's obscure both him and MetaBee.

  +
*In the dub, the episode starts with a fade-in, and an unseen person is commenting on how hot it is today.

*The part where Ginkai and Sherwood split inside the Ginjyo Market was cut. Shortly after Ikki and Metabee thought to have lost both of them, Sherwood actually is sitting on top of a light lamp and takes a surprise shot at Metabee, narrowly missing him and sent him flying towards the products. In addition, the results are shown during the chase; with lots of grocery items falling down, complete with customers being inconvenienced by the situation. This was completely skipped in the localized version.
  +
**There is also an animation error in the last frame from the scene where Ginkai and Sherwood split, with part of Ikki reappearing in the scene.
  +
*The text 試食コーナー ("sample food corner") was removed from the table where Sherwood cut the vegetables thrown by Ikki and Metabee.

*In the English dub the store owner yells "No pets and Medabots allowed!" but in the original version he simply shouts "Hey! No Robattles allowed"
  +
*An eyecatch was added after Ikki and Ginkai left the market.

*Originally, after leaving the Ginjyo Market, the scene quickly shifts to the robbery in progress in the Ginjyo Bank at 1:35, with the lead robber aiming his gun at them, while his lackey is stuffing all the money in the briefcase (thus explaining their getaway car on the outside), this was shortened when it was localized.

**The robbery planning scene is only added in the International version to compensate for trimming down the scene. It reused the scene where the two robbers are hiding on the tunnel, and they say that they are low on ammo.
  +
**The texts inside the bank, like 年金お受取 ("pension receipt"), were removed.
  +
**In the dub, the camera does not move when the main robber is shown for the first time (excluding the aforementioned extra scene in the dub), hiding his gun and the Japanese texts inside the bank, with one text being removed. The following scenes with him holding the gun inside the bank were cut.
  +
**Outside the bank, the gun was removed from the robber's hand, except for the trigger guard in one scene, looking like he has a ring.
  +
**After Ikki and Metabee bumped on the robbers, the camera does not move in the scene the main robber says "witnessess", hiding his gun.
  +
**In the following scenes, the gun from the lead robber was editted so that he is simply aiming his finger at Ikki, and Ikki shaking his head in fear was cut, also removing Ginkai and Sherwood running past them as the two robber's obscure both Ikki and Metabee.
  +
**Peppercat hiting one of the shots on the tire from the robber's car was cut, with the henchman simply mentioning that they got a flat tire.

**While the main robber's gun was removed, the police officers from later scenes had their guns unedited.
  +
*The scene where Jouzou first sees his watch appears before the bank robbery in the dub, and the time from his watch was changed from 2:20 to 1:26.
  +
*The scene where Metabee argues with Ikki and uses Medachange was shortened, starting with Metabee already changed. Metabee suggests to stay and fight, but Ikki convinces Metabee to not stay as he could run out of ammo, be damaged, and if Ikki does not arrive on time, he would need to convince Nae to fix him for free, which would be bad for both. While running, in the original Ikki tells Metabee to go as fast as possible, but could at least take the case with him, and in the dub Ikki reviews their situation.
  +
*In the dub, Ikki and Metabee assume the robbers are after them because they are corporate spies wanting Jouzou's documents, while in the original they assume the robbers are after them because they are witnessess.
  +
*An eyecatch was added before Ikki arrives in the subway station.
  +
*The Ginjyo Station (ぎんじょう駅) sign was translated as "Subway" in the dub, despite being on the surface instead of underground.
  +
*Inside the station, the "need a transfer" joke in the dub is "90 yen" in the original, with most characters being uneasy about buying a ticket to continue their pursuit. However, the characters are not seen taking other train, so a transfer was not necessary. The joke was probably changed because of several issues regarding using specific values (for example, the real life faring value could be different depending on the location airing the series<!--, the value could change over time due to inflation/deflation and redenomination, a dub from other country could use the same value without checking the local value and accidentally make it cheaper than usual or highly overpriced, ...-->), which could be solved by simply being vague about the value<!--(something like "Sigh... Do we need to buy a ticket to follow them?" or "Hmm... Should we buy a ticket just to follow them?")-->.

*The train station has a scene where Ginkai has Sherwood change his right arm to that of Tankbank's Tribuster. The robber rushes at Metabee in an attempt to snatch the briefcase he is holding. As Ginkai orders Sherwood to shoot at the Medabot, the robber jumps in at the same time and is the one who got hit instead, forcing his lackey to carry him while the lead robber recovers from his rear related injuries. This was cut so that Ikki and Metabee simple got inside the train where the others are looking for them, though this does result in an oddity where Sherwood suddenly has a TriBuster out of nowhere.
  +
*Samantha visibly smacking Ikki on the head was replaced by a scene with Metabee.
  +
*An eyecatch was added while the train was passing by a tunnel.
  +
*The design from Ikki's Medawatch screen was changed. In the original, the names of the parts are barely readable, but they appear to have the same name as Metabee's original body (Missile, Revolver, Sub Machine-Gun, and Ochitsuker), despite being upgraded to Saikachi parts (as shown in the beginning of the Japanese opening) and currently being with LadyBooster's legs. It is also silent. In the dub, the name of the parts were replaced by Main Launcher, Left Arm, Right Arm, and Body Armor, the damage gauge in the bottom was replaced by the text "leg damage", and the Medawatch voice says "warning".

Delivery Boy is the fourth episode from Medabots Spirit.

Content[]

Summary[]

Ikki and Metabee happen to encounter Ginkai while delivering important documents to their father's office. Ikki ended up making Ginkai angry due to an unexpected incident. They run away from Ginkai, who is determined to Robattle against them with his Kilobot, however...

Plot[]

In the heat of summer, Ikki and Metabee were relaxing inside their house with air conditioner when Ikki's mom, Chidori comes in and tells her son to deliver the briefcase full of documents to his dad (due to him forgetting to carry it with him). Ikki at first protests until his mom told him if he doesn't, not only her husband will lose his job, but the loss of job means they won't be able to give him an allowance, to Ikki and Metabee's horror, forcing them to carry it out lest the Medabot is turned to a Pawn Shop item.

With no time to lose, Ikki and Metabee goes out to the Ginjyo Corporation office where his dad is located, with Ikki's arms getting tired from carrying a briefcase alone, he tells Metabee that it's his turn to carry it, much to his annoyance, forcing the two to play Rocks, Papers, Scissors to see which they will carry it. Meanwhile, Ginkai is enjoying his ice cream until Ikki, in celebration for winning the game (and therefore, Metabee has to carry it much to his annoyance) accidentally hit Ginkai's ice cream, causing it to fly in his face. Angered by this and as revenge, he challenges Ikki to a robattle with his Kilobot; Sherwood.

Later in the same scene while the robber notes that they need to law low when the lackey realizes that their briefcases have been switched (the cases are identical) sending the lead robber on a brief panic, until they saw work equipment and decide to put on a hard hat as a disguise.

While he waits for the train, Ginkai and the robber's voice are heard at a distance and hopes that they won't get there. Fortunately the train arrives allowing the two to get in just as the others found him.

Trivia[]

  • From this episode, the Japanese ending credits is now in color and has a few changes.
  • The parts used by Ginkai's Sherwood are Meduzard's right arm, Tankbank's left arm, and Patriorder's legs. Samantha's Peppercat used Cyandog's right arm, and Ikki's Metabee used LadyBooster's legs.

  • In the dub, the episode starts with a fade-in, and an unseen person is commenting on how hot it is today.
  • The part where Ginkai and Sherwood split inside the Ginjyo Market was cut.
    • There is also an animation error in the last frame from the scene where Ginkai and Sherwood split, with part of Ikki reappearing in the scene.
  • The text 試食コーナー ("sample food corner") was removed from the table where Sherwood cut the vegetables thrown by Ikki and Metabee.
  • In the English dub the store owner yells "No pets and Medabots allowed!" but in the original version he simply shouts "Hey! No Robattles allowed"
  • An eyecatch was added after Ikki and Ginkai left the market.
  • Originally, after leaving the Ginjyo Market, the scene quickly shifts to the robbery in progress in the Ginjyo Bank at 1:35, with the lead robber aiming his gun at them, while his lackey is stuffing all the money in the briefcase (thus explaining their getaway car on the outside), this was shortened when it was localized.
    • The robbery planning scene is only added in the International version to compensate for trimming down the scene. It reused the scene where the two robbers are hiding on the tunnel, and they say that they are low on ammo.
    • The texts inside the bank, like 年金お受取 ("pension receipt"), were removed.
    • In the dub, the camera does not move when the main robber is shown for the first time (excluding the aforementioned extra scene in the dub), hiding his gun and the Japanese texts inside the bank, with one text being removed. The following scenes with him holding the gun inside the bank were cut.
    • Outside the bank, the gun was removed from the robber's hand, except for the trigger guard in one scene, looking like he has a ring.
    • After Ikki and Metabee bumped on the robbers, the camera does not move in the scene the main robber says "witnessess", hiding his gun.
    • In the following scenes, the gun from the lead robber was editted so that he is simply aiming his finger at Ikki, and Ikki shaking his head in fear was cut, also removing Ginkai and Sherwood running past them as the two robber's obscure both Ikki and Metabee.
    • Peppercat hiting one of the shots on the tire from the robber's car was cut, with the henchman simply mentioning that they got a flat tire.
    • While the main robber's gun was removed, the police officers from later scenes had their guns unedited.
  • The scene where Jouzou first sees his watch appears before the bank robbery in the dub, and the time from his watch was changed from 2:20 to 1:26.
  • The scene where Metabee argues with Ikki and uses Medachange was shortened, starting with Metabee already changed.
  • In the dub, Ikki and Metabee assume the robbers are after them because they are corporate spies wanting Jouzou's documents, while in the original they assume the robbers are after them because they are witnessess.
  • An eyecatch was added before Ikki arrives in the subway station.
  • The Ginjyo Station (ぎんじょう駅) sign was translated as "Subway" in the dub, despite being on the surface instead of underground.
  • Inside the station, the "need a transfer" joke in the dub is "90 yen" in the original, with most characters being uneasy about buying a ticket to continue their pursuit. However, the characters are not seen taking other train, so a transfer was not necessary. The joke was probably changed because of several issues regarding using specific values (for example, the real life faring value could be different depending on the location airing the series), which could be solved by simply being vague about the value.
  • The train station has a scene where Ginkai has Sherwood change his right arm to that of Tankbank's Tribuster.
  • Samantha visibly smacking Ikki on the head was replaced by a scene with Metabee.
  • An eyecatch was added while the train was passing by a tunnel.
  • The design from Ikki's Medawatch screen was changed.
