Dude, Where's My Ma? is the thirty-fifth (twenty-second in the dub) episode of Medabots. It first aired in COUNTRY on BROADCASTER on DATE.

Summary[]
Ikki's mother, Chidori, was kidnapped by the Rubberobo Gang. The goal of the Rubberobo Gang is Metabee's Rare Medal. Ikki must win two more Robattles to qualify for the World Robattle Cup. The remaining time is 3 hours... But Ikki and Metabee must go rescue their dear Chidori!
Plot[]
Ikki and Metabee rush back home with Salty and they find it empty, the message about the Rubberobo Gang kidnapping Ikki's mother being true. Ikki calls his father, Jouzou, and tells him what happened, but the call was cut before he could give more details. Karin found a note from the Rubberobo Gang informing Ikki and Metabee to come alone to their hideout. Despite Erika and Koji saying that is not a good idea, Koji also reminding him that this is the last day for Ikki to qualify for the World Robattle Cup, Ikki has no choice, and they go to the combined place. Meanwhile, Chidori becomes popular with the Rubberobo Gang members, as she patches their damaged suits and prepares delicious food for them. Only Gillgirl is not help with her presence. Somewhere else, Jouzou is doing his best to return home as fast possible.
Ikki and Metabee arrive in the combined place, a cave, and Seaslug informs them that they will have to Robattle several rounds with all members to retrieve his mother, and if he loses they will take Metabee's Rare Medal. Gillgirl goes first, using her real identity with Seagaru and Spiritus. Ikki and Metabee realize that they have not faced her before, so they can get points to qualify to the tournament and rescue Chidori at the same time. Metabee wins, but he is injured in the battle. Afterwards he faces Shrimplips and Squidguts with Gokudo and Gobanko at the same time, and Metabee is forced to use the Medaforce to win, which tires Metabee and makes the cave shake. When Chidori appears bringing more food, Ikki and Metabee have the chance to rescue her, but to make sure she would stay, Seaslug decides to order all members to attack the tired Metabee at the same time with their Noctobats. Fortunately, Space Medafighter X and Arcbeetle appear and defeats all of them, but the battle causes the cave to collapse.
Ikki and Metabee manage to leave the cave with Chidori, and they start crying, happy to see that she is safe. Shortly after, Ikki's friends and father appear in a helicopter. As Metabee is too damaged and there are less than 30 minutes left to the qualification period to end, Ikki decided to give up from the tournament, and Space Medafighter X mocks him for giving up. Angry, Ikki and Metabee decide to challenge Space Medafighter X.

- The names from Ikki's parents were revealed in this episode.
- In the Japanese version, during the Robattle against Seagaru, Ikki told Metabee to use Revolver (his right arm), and he complies, but he used his left arm instead. In this part Revolver is called laser cannon in the dub.

- The English dub added several lines and modified some of the exisiting ones. For example, the first character to speak in the original was Jouzou. In the dub, before Jouzou appears, Ikki and Metabee investigate the house and realize that not only the Rubberobos really kidnapped Chidori, but they also ate the dinner. Another example is that Chidori's first line in the original is when she notices the damage in the Rubberobo Gang member's suit, her lines about her ropes being exclusive to the dub.
- The note left for Ikki that Karin reads was replaced by a repeated scene of her. The note's contents are also different, sounding similar to a poem in the original. In the original it was signed as being from the Roborobo Gang, while in the dub it was specifically signed by Seaslug.
- The door with the sign 立入厳禁 ("no entry allowed") was cut.
- The soup Chidori prepared was specified as tonjiru in the original.
- The Medal transition after Chidori offers food for Seaslug was replaced by a fadeout.
- A large part with Gillgirl was cut. After Gillgirl saw everyone eating Chidori's food, Gillgirl angrily tells them to throw the food away and flips the table that was being used by Seaslug, Shrimplips and Squidguts. One hot soup that was on the table fell on her hand, burning her. Chidori takes Gillgirl to a sink to wash her hand and tells her that if she keeps getting angry her face will become wrinkled, and also that dieting is fine, but it is ruined if too much stress is accumulated. Gillgirl tells Chidori to leave her alone and blushes.
- Seaslug placing the chopsticks sideways across his bowl after he finished eating was cut.
- The reason Gillgirl faces Ikki first varies. In the original, Gillgirl got more frustrated after trying Chidori's food, disliking how popular Chidori was with the men, and releases her anger on her Robattle against Ikki and Metabee, saying that she will show that a woman does not need to be married or be good at cooking or sewing to be happy. Her companions are both scared and surprised with how she was acting, as even her way of speaking changed. In the dub, Gillgirl liked Chidori's soup so much that she was not willing to let Chidori go, facing Ikki to ensure she would prevent Chidori's release, and have her make a big bowl of soup only for her after the victory, with her companions disliking that she would not share.
- The beginning of Mr. Referee's appearance showing him eating was cut. In the original, Metabee angrily asks for how long he was hiding there, while in the dub Metabee tells him to cut the speech and start the Robattle.
- In the part showing the clock ticking, in the original the narrator explains about Ikki's time limit to qualify in the tournament, and in the dub Ikki is thinking about his situation.
- The eyecatches were replaced by a fadeout.
- In the original, when Seaslug says that they will finally get the Rare Medal, Shrimplips says that Gillgirl's victory will increase his reputation. In the dub, when Seaslug says he can smell their victory, Shrimplips excuses himself as that was him, saying that vegetable soup gives him gas. In both cases Seaslug and Squidguts dislike what Shrimplips says.
- Gillgirl mentioning that Seagaru and Spiritus did not get along until she trained them is exclusive to the dub. In the original, Ikki wonders why a tiger and a dragon are working so well together, as they are supposed to be opposites that do not get along.
- After hearing why Ikki said, in the original, all Metabee said to Seagaru and Spiritus was ask which one of them was stronger. In the dub, Metabee provokes them by saying that Seagaru insulted Spiritus.
- In the original, Gillgirl cries because she feels that she failed both as a woman and as a Medafighter. In the dub, she cries because she lost despite having the numeric advantage and for losing her victory soup.
- In the original, Squidguts and Shrimplips called themselves the Rubberobo Gang's Medafighters of the wind and of the fire, respectively.
- In the original, all Gokudo and Gobanko did was make sounds, having no lines. In the dub they actually speak, saying their names, and Gokudo also said "stretch punch".
- The part with Ikki thinking that Metabee also wants to save Chidori, even if he uses all his strength, was shortened, with Ikki's thought being replaced by Metabee's extended dialogue about rescuing Chidori.
- Metabee's Medawatch details were changed in the dub. The name of his four parts were replaced by Main Servo, Right Arm, Left Arm, and Missiles, while the lower texts, "all parts damaged", "danger!", and "range of operation down", were replaced by "warning", with a voice repeating the message.
- A fadeout was added after Metabee used the Medaforce.
- The food Chidori prepared is said to be cupcakes in the dub and pudding in the original.
- When the cave started collapsing, in the original one of the Rubberobo Gang members says that at this rate they will end up being the "Boroboro Gang" (lit. "Tattered Gang" or "Crumbled Gang"), a pun with the group's Japanese name, Roborobo Gang. In the dub, the pun was translated as "Rumblerobo Gang".
- The scenes showing the cave cracking and collapsing were cut.
