Summary[]
Finally, Kilobots like Unitrix and Exor have been released. Additionally, a Kilobot shop has been built on the outskirts of town. Ikki and his friends sense a crisis. Meanwhile, Kam was plotting a plan for the arrival of the Kilobot era.
Plot[]
Ikki and Metabee see a commercial for Kilobots displaying Unitrix, and they learn that a Kilobot shop was about to open. Erika is worried about this, telling them that Robattles may become more serious and less fun if the number of Kilobots increase.
Looking for advice, Ikki goes see Nae, who was watching a press conference about the Kilobots. Extreme Tech's CEO, Henry McKenna, says that the Medabot Corporation has a monopoly over Medabots, and the Kilobots were created to make a friendly competition to revitalize the market and prevent stagnation and provide better products. Kam is also present in the conference, as he helped work on most Kilobots, including Exor and Unitrix, and is the son of Shin Kamazaki, the president from the Bacchus Concern. Kam said that his input was important for making Kilobots good from the eyes of a child, believing that other kids will also see how joyful Kilobots are when they spread around the world.
Tired of Kam's words, Ikki and Metabee turn off the TV, and they doubt that anyone would buy a Kilobot, but Nae is not so sure, as children who never participated in a Robattle before do not know how fun they are, and they may find Kilobots more appealing due to their higher performance. There is nothing they can do but continue doing their best to show how fun real Robattles are, and even if the world is filled with Kilobots, they must continue to believe on themselves.
Later, in Kam's home, Kam says that it is the beginning of the Kilobot era, and the end of Medabot era. For that, he has a plan to finish with Ikki and Metabee so they will not get on his way.
In the next day, Ikki receives a call from Suzie, who asks him to rescue her from Kam in the Bacchus Tower. Ikki and Metabee suspect that it is a trap, but Ikki remembers Metabee of Nae's words, and they decide to go to show them the true spirit of Robattle. Their suspicion was right, and they fall in Kam's trap, with Metabee being beaten by Kam's Exor.
The battle was secretly recorded by Kam and his employees, who used advanced technology to modify the images, switching Metabee and Exor to make it look like Metabee was the one fighting agressively. There was a 1 minute delay to change the images, which were aired to the public on the big screen above the Mermaid shop as a live broadcast. The public was in disbelief with what they were seeing, including Erika. Erika then noticed the Brat Brothers booing Metabee and cheering for Exor, enticing the public, and she questioned them about it, learning that Ikki was on the Bacchus Tower, running there to investigate.
Back in the tower, Metabee lands a hit on Exor, and Exor retreats, with the transmission being paused for a moment. Kam then tells an unknown kid that it was his turn to Robattle. Ikki considers leaving, but this time Metabee is the one who reminds him of what Nae said.
In the last floor of the tower, a new kid named Banjo appears with Redrun, who proceeds to beat Metabee with easy, and Erika arrives in time to see most of the battle. The live broadcast was now showing Redrun as Metabee and Metabee as Exor, and Zumi started recording the live on the big screen after noticing it. After some beating, Redrun was replaced by Exor and Metabee stayed as himself, the video footage showing Exor defeating Metabee. After Metabee's defeat, the transmission was cut, with a voice claiming that do not know what happened and apologizing for it, returning to the normal broadcasting. After the battle, Kam and Suzie appears, and Banjo leaves, returning Redrun to Kam. Suzie says that she helped Kam in exchange of becoming the spokesmodel for the Kilobots, and both Kam and Erika inform Ikki about what was happening outside the tower. Erika says that she will find a way to expose Kam's trick and prove that Ikki and Metabee are innocent.
Trivia[]
- When Redrun started running in Metabee's direction, Redrun's horns disappear in some frames while passing in front of Banjo.
In the episode[]
Background[]
English dub changes[]

Unitallish commercial.

First view of the Bacchus Tower.

Death Medarot Company new product launch event.

Suzie screaming with Ikki through the Medanetboard.
- Bacchus, the company from Kam's father, is called Bacchus Zaibatsu in Japanese dialogues, Bacchus Conglomerate in the English dub, and is written as Bacchus Concern on the logo that is visible for a brief time inside the Bacchus Tower.
- The beginning of the Kilobot commercial was cut.
- The texts in the Kilobot commercial were removed when they first appeared. In the scenes where the screen reappears, "Death Medarot" was removed and "Unitallish" was replaced by "Unitrix". The texts "New Release." and "DMC" were not changed, despite DMC appearing to be short for Death Medarot Company, which was renamed as Extreme Tech in the dub.
- The short scene with Ikki and Erika walking to the Kilobot shop was cut.
- The text "Death Medarot Shop" was replaced by "Kilobot Mega Super Store".
- Part of Erika's explanation about the situation was cut. Her dialogue from this part was moved to the silent part with Ikki imagining how Robattles will be if the Kilobots become popular, which was moved to the cut part, with the screen zooming on Ikki for no reason in the part leading to those scenes. One scene was also repeated to compensate the changes.
- The first view of the Bacchus Tower was cut.
- During the press conference about Kilobots, all texts around the Extreme Tech logo were removed. They are デスメダロット社 (Death Medarot Company), 新製品の発表会 ("New product launch event"), and the romanized names from six Kilobots: Exescythe, Unitallish, Gun-Desperado, Tankdunk, Frontline, and Blossomail.
- Of note, this scene was present in the preview shown in the previous episode in the Japanese version, where it lacked the names from the Kilobots, having lines on their place, and the lower text was separated in two parts saying "new product" and "launch event".
- Henry McKenna's mention that Kilobots are slightly more expensive than Medabots due to their higher performance was omitted, focusing on their performance in the dub, calling them more ambitious, powerful, and faster than Medabots.
- A static-like effect was added to Nae's TV before Ikki's arrival.
- The "Death Medarot" text under Unitrix and Exor was removed.
- In Nae's computer, the text "Death Medarot database" was replaced by "Kilobots database", the names from Desperado and Tankbank were replaced by their localized names, and the names from the parts shown were removed. Desperado also had his head editted, removing the muzzle from his gun.
- Of note, the muzzle from Desperado's head was not removed in the group image showing five Kilobots together shortly after this, and in Ikki's imagination shown earlier, where Desperado is using it.
- A short scene showing Desperado, Exor, Unitrix, and Redrun was cut.
- Unitrix's image in Nae's computer was replaced by the dub's stat screen, being animated instead of static.
- A silent scene in Nae's shop was cut.
- An eyecatch was added after the part in Nae's shop ended.
- In Kam's home, the first view of the screen with data about Metabee was replaced by the dub's stat screen. The screen was kept when it reappeared.
- Like the previous episode, the Medanetboard has a normal phone-like ring in the original, and a new ring in the dub.
- The Medarot text on Ikki's Medanetboard was changed to Medabot.
- The part where Ikki's Medanetboard moves on its own in a cartoony way when Suzie screams with Ikki was cut.
- Suzie's "time bomb" is said to be a stink bomb in the dub.
- There are small cuts in the scenes after the second eyecatch.
- Exor gained two lines: "Target confirmed" and "Sin Sword". He is silent in the original.
- In the dub, the big screen showing a commercial for Unitrix says "Meet our latest model, Exor!". In the original, it did not mention a specific Kilobot, only saying "Death Medarot sale" and an unknown word that was cut when the transmission from the Bacchus Tower started.
- In the fake video, the duration of Metabee hitting Exor with a chair was reduced. Other scenes after this also have small reductions, such as Ikki talking with Metabee after the Medawatch screen was shown, and before Metabee reminds Ikki of what Nae said.
- The text 展望台 (observation deck) was translated as the broader term observatory.
- An eyecatch was added before Banjo appears from the elevator.
- In the original, Banjo says he wants to prove that he is stronger than Ikki and Metabee. In the dub, he says that he was sent to destroy Metabee once and for all.
- Redrun received another introduction.
- Like previous episodes, the message "he is enemy!!" on Redrun's HUD was replaced by "worthy opponent".
- Banjo laughs in a part that was silent.
- Like Dark Alliance (1) and Once a Medafighter (1), the "to be continued" screen changed.
