Player

The player controls Ikki, who starts with a Metabee with a Kabuto Medal in the Metabee Version or a Rokusho with a Kuwagata Medal in the Rokusho Version as the leader Medabot, and a customized Medabot with a female Tinpet and a Mermaid Medal as the partner. There are eight parts available for the partner in the beginning: Pretty Face, All repair, Pateri Vulcan, Pride Viper, Short Shot, Flop, Flaregather, and Sala-Tail. More parts and Medals are obtained as the player progresses in the game, and the Tinpets can be changed with the Select button.

The Select Corp. members encountered vary depending on the location and in what part of the story the player is, with some being only found before finishing the game and others only after finishing the game. The Rubberobo Gang members only appear after completing the game.
