Main Cast Medaforce
Medaforce (メダフォース) is a special skill that Medals can obtain from Medarot 2 onwards. A Medaforce acts as a kind of ability that can be used independent from the Medabot's parts, except if the Medabot's functions have ceased.
In the games[]
In Medarot 2 and Medabots (GBA), Ikki is one of the first Medafighters seen using the Medaforce, as thanks to the Phantom Renegade and Ikki's father, he received an upgraded Medawatch that enabled the Medaforce before its release. This upgrade became available on shops a short time after this, which made the Medaforce available to the general public.
In most games Medals can learn up to three Medaforces, starting with either one or none, and learning more by leveling up. To use a Medaforce, the Medabot requires a certain amount of energy charged in a MF (Short for Medaforce) gauge. The Medaforce's gauge is accumulated by using a turn to charge up, and it usually fills a little when the Medabot takes damage.
Medaskill[]
Medaskill (メダスキル) is a similar ability that replaced the Medaforce in Medarot 5. Each Medal starts with one, and each Medaskill can only be used once per Robattle. Elements from the Medaskill were later integrated into the Medaforce.
In the manga[]
In the original manga series, only Rare Medals can use the Medaforce. The Medaforce uses a lot of energy from the Medarot, and the technique is so powerful that it causes the Medarot's parts to boil, causing heavy damage and being very painful for the user. Dr. Hebereke tried to force a Medarot with a normal Medal to use the Medaforce, but the Medarot went out of control.
In Medarot Reloaded, all Medals can use the Medaforce, but the Medaforce has four ranks of rarity that determine their power: Normal, Rare, Epic and Legend.
In the anime[]
Medaforce, depicted in the Medabots anime differently from the games, is mainly acquired only if the Medabot has a Rare Medal, although there are exceptions. Early in the series, the Medabots that execute this power have no control over when it is activated, but later in the series the characters seem to develop a certain control over when the Medaforce can be used. The first time the Medaforce is seen in the anime is when Rokusho and Metabee fight on the roof of Dr. Aki's burning lab in Metabee Vs. Rokusho - Metabee is defeated via Rokusho's Medaforce.
Unlike the games, when a Medabot uses a Medaforce, it uses so much energy from its Medal that the Medabot is unable to perform actions for a time, long enough to receive an attack - this means that Medaforce is a kind of all-or-nothing ability.
Every Medal that was seen using the Medaforce, not counting Cleobattler's, is either a Kabuto or Kuwagata Medal - Kabuto Medabots unleash a blast with their arm parts, dealing a massive amount of damage in one shot (similar to the Kabuto Medal's Barrage in the games), while Kuwagata users use a sword part they might be wearing (such as Rokusho's Chanbara Sword) to create a huge shockwave that deals a massive ammount of damage (similar to the Kuwagata Medal's Spiral Bolt and Karatakewari).
Medabots Spirit[]
The way the Medaforce is executed changed in Medabots Spirit, being depicted as a huge beam blast fired from the Medabots' hands, while they keep it "hold" on both hands, independent of the Medal, with Metabee's Kabuto Medal and Roks' Kuwagata Medal having the same Medaforce. The Medaforce is theorized to only be possible if the Medabot and Medafighter have a strong bond and trust each other.
Some of the early copies of Rare Medals made in the Medabot Corporation, known as First Medals, could also access the Medaforce due to being near perfect copies of the original Medals.[1] As the Neo Ex Medal from Kam's Blakbeetle was based on data from the First Medals, he tried to force Blakbeetle to use the Medaforce, but was unsuccessful.[2]
Kilobots have a high resistance against the Medaforce, taking little to no damage from a single Medaforce attack. However, a double Medaforce attack is able to defeat Redrun,[1] and Blakbeetle takes have damage from it, with an additional Medaforce afterwards being able to defeat her.[3] After Kam and Extreme Tech analyzed the Medaforce, they were able to create a countermeasure that was equipped on Gryphon.
Known users[]
Some few Medabots in the anime have been seen to master the Medaforce, and almost all of them have a Rare Medal. The Medabots seen to possess this skill are:
- Ikki's Metabee (Kabuto Medal) - Shoots a powerful beam of light from his arms. This later became the animation for the Medaforce Barrage in the games.
- Rokusho (Kuwagata Medal) - Sends a destructive energy wave by swinging his Chanbara Sword, resembling the Medaforces Karatakewari and Spiral Bolt.
- Koji's Sumilidon (Kuwagata Medal) - It is unknown why he can use the Medaforce despite not having a Rare Medal. In the first and third time he used the Medaforce, he sent a destructive energy wave by thrusting his Flexor Sword, similar to Rokusho's Medaforce, who has the same Medal type. In the second time, he shoot a beam from his arms, like Metabee.
- Victor's Warbandit (Kabuto Medal) - Like Metabee, he shoots a powerful energy blast from his cannons.
- Space Medafighter X's Arcbeetle (Kabuto Medal) - He was only seen getting ready to use the Medaforce, using it offscreen alongside Metabee and Rokusho.
- Patra's Cleobattler (Alien Medal) - Replicated Metabee's Medaforce.
- Zuru's Roks (Kuwagata Medal) - Shoots a powerful beam of light from his hands. He has a First Medal.
- Ginkai's Arcbeetle-Dash (Kabuto Medal) - Shoots a powerful beam of light from his hands. He has a First Medal.

Trivia[]
- Medaforce was misnamed as "Medaforth" in the Medarot Navi manual.
- In the English dub from the first episode of Medabots Spirit, Kam said that the Medaforce acts on the target's emotions, and Kilobots are immune to the Medaforce due to their Ex Medals lacking emotion. No explanation was given in the original Japanese, with this addition appearing to not be true, with Kilobots only being more resistant against it. Their lack of emotion is actually what prevents them from using the Medaforce, as in Medabots Spirit the Medaforce is theorized to require a strong friendship to work.
