Parts (パーツ), also known as Medaparts, are mechanical body parts that are assembled to a Tinpet to grant. Four of these parts (one head, two arms and one pair of legs) assembled with a Tinpet and Medal will form a complete Medabot. Medabots can be customized with any compatible parts, which are either neutral or exclusive to a specific Tinpet gender.
If a part is destroyed during a Robattle, it will be unavailable until the battle ends. During Robattles in the games, parts are depicted exploding to show that they are no longer functioning, but they are not lost and are automatically repaired after the Robattle. In the anime, a disabled part is depicted with its colors becoming dim, alongside marks from the damage received.
Parts[]
Head[]
Head (頭 atama, also written as 頭部) is the Medabot's main part. If it is destroyed, the Medabot will cease functioning, regardless of the condition from other parts. Each head has a skill that can be used a limited number of times per Robattle.
Arms[]
The left arm (左腕 hidariude) and right arm (右腕 migiude) grant a skill to the Medabot. Unlike the head, the skills from each arm can be used any number of times. The Medabot will be unable to use the ability if the arm is destroyed.
In earlier games, if the arm is destroyed while it is being prepared to be used, the action will fail when the Medabot reaches the Active Line. In later games the action will be cancelled and the Medabot will return to the Command Line to receive a new command.
Legs[]
The legs (脚部 kyakubu) define the mobility from the Medabot. There are seven leg types that have different performances depending on the field: Two-Legged, Multi-Legged, Vehicle, Tank, Float, Flight, and Diving. The legs also improve the Medabot's evasion. The exception is the Tank type, which are unable to dodge but have a high Armor. The Medabot will slow down if the legs are destroyed.
Parameters[]
The paramaters from the parts in most games.
Head and arms[]
Parameter | Details |
---|---|
Attribute (属性 Zokusei) |
Indicates the attribute from the parts, such as Grapple, Shooting, Optic, Anti-Air, ..., which affect the compatibility with the Medal. In games without attributes the Skill type from the action the Parts can perform is what affects the Medal's compatibility. |
Action Type (行動タイプ) |
The ability from the part, like Rifle and Sword. Each action has a Skill type. |
Armor (装甲 Sōkō) |
The "health points" of the parts. If it reaches 0, the part will be destroyed and unusable during the Robattle. Broken parts are automatically restored after a Robattle. |
Success (成功 Seikō) |
Also known as Rate of Success.[1] The chance of an attack hitting the target. Is affected by the distance between the Medabots. |
Power (威力 Iryoku) |
If an attack is successful, this determines how much damage the part will cause to the target. |
Charge (充填 Jūten) |
The time it takes for the selected action to happen. In the main games, this is the time it takes for a Medabot to move from the Command Line to the Active Line. In action spin-offs, this is the response time from the input. The lower the value, the faster the Medabot will be, but in some games, like Medarot DS, a higher value indicates a higher speed. |
Cooldown (冷却 Reikyaku)[2] |
Also known as "Heat Release" (熱量 Netsuryō),[3] "Heat Dissipation" (放熱 Hōnetsu),[4] and Radiation.[1] The reverse from Charge, the time it takes to do a new action after the previous one. In the main games, this is the time it takes for the Medabot to return from the Active Line to the Command Line. The lower the value, the faster the Medabot will be, but in some games a higher value indicates a higher speed. |
Amount of Uses (回数 Kaisū) |
Head only. Displays the number of times the part's ability can be used per Robattle. |
Combo (コンボ) | Introduced in Medarot 5. |
Skill (スキル) | Medarot 5 only. Affects the Medaskill. |
Heavy (ヘヴィ) | Introduced in Medarot 9. Some Parts are considered Heavy, which affects the Medabot's performance if the legs can't support them. |
Legs[]
Parameter | Details |
---|---|
Attribute (属性 Zokusei) |
Same as head and arms, the attribute from the parts. |
Leg Type (脚部タイプ) |
Indicates the type of the legs, such as Two-Legged and Multi-Legged. |
Armor (装甲 Sōkō) |
Same as head and arms, the "HP" from the part. Legs usually have better Armor than other parts. |
Propulsion (推進 Suishin) |
Also known as "Charge/Cool" (充冷).[5] Increases the efficency of the Charge and Cooldown from arm parts, and also from Furious and Trap Clear. |
Evasion (機動 Kidō, also 回避) |
The higher the evasion, the higher the chance of the Medabot to avoid an attack. |
Defense (ぼうぎょ Bōgyo) |
Displays the ability to defend against an attack, reducing the damage inflicted to the Armor. |
Proximity (近接 Kinsetsu)[4] |
Also known as Grapple (格闘 Kakutō)[3] and "Grapple Resistance" (格耐)[5]. In most games it influences the success of Grapple (Strike and Berserk), Defend, and Heal type abilities used by the Medabot, while in some it improves the Medabot's resistance against those attributes. |
Remoteness (遠隔 Enkaku)[4] |
Also known as Shooting (射撃 Shageki)[3] and "Shooting Resistance" (射耐).[5] In most games it influences the success of Shooting (Shoot and Aim Shot), Support, and Interrupt type abilities used by the Medabot, while in some it improves the Medabot's resistance against those attributes. |
"Scout" (索敵 Sakuteki) |
Parameter from Medarot 2 and Medarot R. |
"Conceal" (隠蔽 Inpei) |
Parameter from Medarot 2 and Medarot R. |
Heavy Limit (ヘヴィリミット) |
Introduced in Medarot 9. Shows the amount of Heavy head and arm parts the legs can support without penalties to the Medabot's performance. If the legs are destroyed, penalties from remaining Heavy Parts will be applied, making the Medabot slower. |
Medal compatibilty[]
- Main article: Medal
Medals and parts work better if the are compatible. For example, a Kabuto Medal will work better with shooting type parts, like the ones from Metabee, meaning they will have a higher rate of success.
