Medabots (anime), Toys

Pingen (ピンゲン) is a PEN-type Medabot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.

Description[]

Pingen is a small Medabot that resembles a penguin wearing a bowtie, her name being the Japanese word for penguin (ペンギン pengin) with two letters switched. Gentle and well-behaved, her specialty is repairing her allies, specifically by restoring function to broken Medaparts.

Although Pingen has a high evasion, her Fin part will be easily blown if the enemy's attack succeeds. She is relatively fast for a sea Medarot.

In the games []

Pingen is an aquatic Medabot that specializes in using "Restore (Revive)" actions to restore her allies' broken parts. Although fast, her armor is very weak, making her a frail but useful partner Medabot to bring along in battle.

In Medarot 1, 2, R, and 2 Core, Pingen's parts have the "Revive" attribute, making her an obvious choice for use with the Penguin Medal.

Medarot[]

Pingen's right arm is the fastest "Revive" part in the first game, and her head is the only part in the game capable of reviving multiple parts at once.

Her parts can only be obtained as a gift from Kirara in the post-game, and only if the player has met the conditions for Kirara's ending. (The player receives Acehorn's parts instead if they get Nae's ending.)

Medarot 2 []

Pingen's parts are not normally obtainable in Medarot 2, and must be transferred over from Medarot 1 or Medarot Parts Collection. She was replaced by the new PEN-type, Pentachin.

Medabots (GBA)[]

Pingen replaces Pentachin and is used by office lady Medafighters.

Medabots Infinity[]

Quote: Are you in trouble? Call Pingen! Pingen can repair your broken Medaparts!

Medarot DS[]

Her model number is now PEN00-F.

In the anime[]

Anime Pingen

Pingen in the anime.

Pingen is Paco's Medabot, and they are seen in the episode The Birds and the Metabees helping mistreated penguins escape from the Rubberobo Gang's zoo, sending them to Antarctica. As Paco's father works in Antarctica, he sent Pingen to make company for his son so he would not feel lonely. However, Pingen thinks he is a real penguin and left with the penguins to live with them in Antarctica, which saddened Paco, but he knew Pingen would be happier with them. Paco is later seen with a Pingen in Metabee's Last Stand. It is unknown if Paco got a new Pingen or if his original returned from Antarctica.

A Pingen is also seen briefly in the episode Ban All Medabots as one of the Medabots from the school taken by the PTA.

In the English dub, Pingen's model is PEN-16514 and she was incorrectly referred as a male. In the Japanese version, Pingen's attribute is said to be Recovery (Kaifuku) instead of Revive (Fukkatsu).
