Potatobug, known in Japanese as Potato-Insect (ポタトインセクト), is a GCT-type Medabot that first appeared in Medarot 3.

Description[]

M4-GCT-0-MC

Medachanged form.

Potatobug is a female Medabot that is modeled to resemble a green caterpillar. In the video games, her arms have "Bug" attacks that reduce the opponent's accuracy. Her head originally had Change, but later it was replaced by Hold.

Similar to a real caterpillar, when Potatobug uses the Medachange, she turns into a butterfly form that can fly. Her Medachange originally had the Gravity Control (later Ground Control) and two Shot Traps with different stats as her Drives. One of the Shot Traps were later replaced by a Grap Trap.

In the games[]

Medarot 3[]

Potatobug is exclusive to the Kabuto Version of the game. Her male counterpart, Hairy Insect takes her place in the Kuwagata Version.

Medabots Infinity[]

Quote: I'm not daydreaming, my face is naturally like this... I can't help it.

A Potatobug appears nicknamed Jaxy.

Medarot DS[]

Potatobug's model number has been changed to GCT00-F. Medachange is not available in Medarot DS, and the effect from her head's Change now changes all her parts other than the head into random ones.

Medarot 7[]

She became able to Medachange again, with her Drives changing to Ground Control, Shot Trap, and Grap Trap. The Change from her head was replaced by Hold.

Medarot 8[]

The "C" was added at the end of Potatobug's model number to signify her having a Medachange.

Cards[]

Potato-Insect has a card in the Medabots Trading Card Game booster set. She attacks with "Disturbing Attack", which leaves the targeted Medabot with a reduced attack power.
