Redrun, known in Japanese as Blossomail (ブロッソメイル), is a DVL-type Medabot that first appeared in Medarot 4.

Description[]

Redrun is a fearsome looking Medabot, with devil-like horns and wings, a long tail, and a white face made to resemble a skull. The most notable feature of her appearance is her reddish-pink color, which stands out on a devil-type Medabot.

In her Medachange form, Redrun switches to four legs, having long claws on each limb, and the face plate opens and acts like a mouth with two glowing eyes inside.

Redrun's English name may be a reference to "redrum" (murder spelled backwards) from Stephen King's novel The Shining, with the "m" replaced by "n" to make a pun with the title of the anime episode she first appeared, Redrun Away.

In the games[]

Both of Redrun's arm parts are extremely powerful, but have the Sacrifice action and attribute and will self-destruct with one use. The head has a Destroy attack that will completely destroy parts, but only if the target is in its cooldown phase.

Medachanged form.

When Redrun Medachanges, she becomes a multi-leg type who performs best on volcanoes and mountains. All three of Redrun's Drives are Destroy attacks. Drive A has the "Snipe" skill, while Drives B and C have the "Shoot" skill.

Medarot 4[]

Redrun is a wild, rampaging Medarot who the player must defeat after Ikki defeats Orochi. After the battle, Redrun is badly broken and must be taken to Dr. Aki. After Ikki becomes the Medamaster, which happens after a series of exams at the Medabots Corporation, Aki is done fixing her and Ikki can go back to obtain her parts.

Medarot Navi[]

Redrun is under the command of Tamawo. She is found twice during the postgame as part of Rintaro's party, acting as the leader during their first Robattle with Kasumi. After the second battle, she, Rintaro and the others join Kasumi as partners.

Medarot 7[]

Redrun's model number has been changed to DVL03.

Medarot 8[]

The "C" was added at the end of Redrun's model number to signify her having a Medachange. Her leg parts gained the effect Bloodstain.

Medarot 9[]

The head and arm parts are now considered Heavy parts, with the legs having a Heavy Limit of 3 to support them.

In the manga[]

In the Medarot 4 manga, she is more bestial, usually walking on four legs, but is able to stand on two.

She also appeared in Medarot Reloaded.

In the anime[]

Medabots Spirit Redrun full

In Medabots Spirit.

In Medabots Spirit, Redrun is portrayed as a Kilobot that is extremely fast, powerful, and resistant to attacks. In the normal form alone, she can lift and throw a forklift with a single hand, run as fast as the Medachange from Unitrix and Exor, and fire a laser beam able to slice a truck in half. Redrun sometimes appears with a golden skull-shaped shield over her left arm, which covers the head like a mask during Medachange.

Redrun first appeared in "Redrun Away" as a powerful Kilobot prototype created by Extreme Tech. Unfortunately, she was malfunctional and managed to escape, beginning to cause chaos in the city, and was too much for Metabee to handle, forcing him to retreat. When Kam and Ginkai challenged Redrun to test the Kilobot's abilities, Ginkai's continued fighting after Kam stopped, and she started to brutally attack Ginkai's Unitrix due to being programmed to fight worthy opponents until nothing was left. Aided by the Mystery Medafighter, Ikki and Metabee challenge Redrun again to help Ginkai. Sadly, Redrun proved too resilient for both Metabee and Roks, but unexpectedly froze while preparing to Medachange. Kam reappears and revealed that Redrun was doomed to shut down after 24 hours due to still being a prototype. Redrun is then retrieved, with Kam assuring Ikki and his friends that they would see her again.

In "Once a Medafighter (1)" Kam managed to get Redrun under his control and had the Kilobot replace Exor. Interfering in Ginkai's championship battle against Ikki, Kam ordered Redrun to attack Metabee and even proceeded to destroy his Medal.

In the following episode, Kam has Redrun brutally attack Ginkai's Unitrix after his betrayal, damaging Unitrix beyond repair. Redrun is finally stopped when the Mystery Medafighter appears and has Roks shut down Redrun's arms. Once Redrun is repaired, she, under Kam's orders, mercilessly destroys Exor to make the replacement official. She is then used during a rematch against Ginkai and his Medabot Arc-Dash. After Ginkai gave Tyrelbeetle to the Mystery Medafighter, they combined their Medabots into Masterbeetle, who overpowered and defeated her.

During a plan to ruin Ikki's reputation, Redrun is lent by a talented gamer named Banjo in "Fall from Grace (1)". Despite being somehow able to control the dangerous Kilobot, Banjo loses interest in Redrun upon finishing his job, returned the Kilobot to Kam.

Redrun didn't stay separated from Banjo for long however, as he decided to keep her when Kam offers the Kilobot to him in "Mystery Medafighter Unmasked?". In exchange, Banjo helps Kam look for the Mystery Medafighter by making Redrun attack Medabots at random.

Redrun is used by Banjo again in "Roks Reborn" and "Poor Miss Nae". In the latter, Banjo robattles Ikki after beating him in several arcade games. Though Redrun initially overwhelmed Metabee, Ikki eventually came up with a clever strategy to take down the Kilobot for the first time. Miss Nae then asks Banjo if he would allow her to repair Redrun.

In "Winner Take All", a Redrun is used to test the power of a new Kilobot, Gryphon, and is easily defeated, along with other Kilobots.

In the English dub, Redrun's model number is DVL-42212, similar to Blackram, and she is referred to as male. In the Japanese version, Redrun is voiced by Satoshi Tsuruoka.
