Description[]
Rokusho (ロクショウ Rokushou) is a prominent character in the Medabots franchise, a Medabot with a Kuwagata Medal and Head Scissors (Rokusho) Medaparts that has a solemn and polite personality.
In the games[]
A Rokusho is Hikaru Agata's first Medabot in the Kuwagata Version of the first Medarot game, and also appears in other games as his partner.
Likewise, a Rokusho with a rare Kuwagata Medal is Ikki's first Medabot and partner in the Kuwagata/Rokusho versions of Medarot 2. In Medarot 3 he updated his parts to Roks, but he kept the name from his previous body.
Both Hikaru and Ikki have a Metabee as their partner instead of a Rokusho in the Kabuto/Metabee versions of the games, as well as games without multiple versions.
In the manga[]
Long ago, Rokusho was called Youhaku (ヨウハク, lit. Nickel silver) and lived peacefully with Professor Gengoro and the parrot Barton. However, after the professor passed away, Rokusho left and apparently repressed his past memories to forget the death of his master.
Rokusho now assists Dr. Medarot in his lab. When the Roborobo Gang captured the lab and disguised themselves as scientists, they used a device to control Rokusho and forced him to fight Metabee to analyze him. The damage caused by Metabee released Rokusho from their control and revealed the location of the imprisoned scientists. Rokusho and Metabee became friends, and after Dr. Medarot saw Metabee's Medal, he suggested Hikaru to trade Metabee and Rokusho for a few days to analyze him. Rokusho is more polite and organized than Metabee, but he is also as solemn as a honorable samurai, attacking Hikaru's father for badmouthing Metabee, using his full power in a friendly Robattle, and getting angry when Hikaru and his friends tried different parts on him.
Later, when Metabee was at a disadvantage against the Roborobo Gang, Rokusho appeared and defeated their A-Buraage. In an inn taken over by the Roborobo Gang, Rokusho lend his body to Kobayashi's Rabbit Medal so he could fight to take back the inn. After returning to his body, Barton found Rokusho when he was leaving the inn, and he took him to the professor's lab, but Rokusho had trouble remembering his past until Mite, a robot with the professor's research, was stolen by the Roborobo Gang. Rokusho's natural Medal awakened while facing the Roborobo Gang's Redmatador, and he remembered his past, alongside a promise he did for the professor to protect a rare beetle. Interested on Rokusho, Suzume attempted to capture and analyze him, but Hikaru and Metabee helped Rokusho. During the Robattle tournament, Rokusho was part of Hikaru's team, and he was the last Medarot standing in the match against Joe Swihan's team.
As Rokusho has a natural Medal, he wasn't affected by the radio waves from the Roborobo Gang and he tried to maintain peace alongside the Samurai from the school's director. During the invasion to the Roborobo Gang's hideout, Rokusho has a rematch against Redmatador, who became stronger and is able to severely injury him. Despite the injury, Rokusho, about to collapse, is able to proceed and appears to help in the battle against Beast Master, cutting his legs and separating him from his power source.

Rokusho is a mysterious stag beetle-type Medabot who possesses the Kuwagata Medal. Often wearing a dirty old cloak, Rokusho appears to have no master, and he sporadically appears throughout the series, first appearing in the episode Mystery Medabot when saving a small puppy from a river in a rainstorm. When Metabee asks for Rokusho's name, he simply replies "My name is of no importance." He later explains that it is the only thing that he still owns. He spends a lot of the series searching for his lost Medafighter. He offers words of wisdom and help to Ikki and Metabee in Robattles, however, he dislikes the idea of fighting for fun. His main goal is to protect Rare Medals, such as his own, and all forms of life.
Long ago, Rokusho did have a master, whose name was Dr. Hushi. However, he disappeared in a fire, whom we later finds out was caused by the Rubberobo Gang, ordered by Dr. Meta-Evil. Like his manga counterpart, Rokusho was called Youhaku by Dr. Hushi. Later on in the series, Rokusho reunites with his friend Barton, the robot parrot pet of Dr. Hushi. Barton was given false memories by Dr. Meta-Evil to make Rokusho go berserk by learning that Dr. Aki killed Dr. Hushi. In reality, Dr. Meta-Evil gave the order to the Rubberobos to have Dr. Hushi killed. Dr. Hushi's body was never recovered from the fire. When searching through the remains though, Rokusho discovered a secret lab under the cottage, and learned that humans weren't the one that made the Medals in the first place, but an ancient civilization, made long before humans even existed.
Since Rokusho possesses a Rare Medal, he can utilize the Medaforce through his Chanbara Sword. Rokusho is a very solemn Medabot, but is usually polite with others. He refuses to Robattle unless it is to defend someone or something, and is the only Medabot who goes by this way of life. He is also guided by a strong code of honor.
