Spidar, known in Japanese as Shoot Spider (シュートスパイダ), is an SPI-type Medabot that first appeared in Medarot 2.
Description[]
Spidar resembles a yellow spider. He is the upgraded version of Trap Spider.
In the games[]
Like his predecessor, all of Spidar's Medaparts have Grap Trap actions, being a big problem for Medabots with Grapple attacks like Rokusho. Using Shooting attacks will render his parts useless. Spidar's legs are the Multi-Leg type, making him proficient in Rocky Field and Valley arenas. Spidar is best used with the Spider Medal.

Spidar is commonly seen used by Lady Medafighters found in Medabot Island and Medaropolis.

Spidar is a Medabot exclusive to the Rokusho Version.

Medarot DS[]
Spidar's model number has been changed to SPI01-M, and the actions from his arms changed to Right Arm Trap and Left Arm Trap.
Medarot 7[]
The action from his head changed to Leg Trap.
Medarot 8[]
The actions from his arms changed to Support Trap (right arm) and Heal Trap (left arm). This game also introduced the similar Booby Spider, who has the same actions Spidar had before Medarot DS.
In the anime[]

A Spidar with a Spider Medal is used by the Rubberobo Gang in the episode Meet Your Meda-Maker to capture Karin's Neutranurse, as they assumed she was Dr. Aki's Medabot and would have a Rare Medal. When Ikki and Metabee appeared to rescue her, they Robattle and Spidar is able to catch Metabee, but cannot finish him due to not being equipped with attack parts. Metabee then releases himself and defeats Spidar, winning Spidar's right arm. In the anime Spidar can release web from the back of his leg parts, fires a sticky substance from the arms with a rapid fire rate, and launches a net from the head.
In the English dub Spidar's model number is SPI-19169.
