Smilodonad (スミロドナッド), known in English as Sumilidon, is an STG-type Medabot that first appeared in Medarot 2.
Sumilidon is a Medabot that resembles a sabertooth tiger. As such he has his Flexor Sword, which deals a large amount of damage. The Straw Hammer is great for speed attacks, but it is somehow weaker than the other arm. The Head Part, Hunter, allows Sumilidon to set traps to protect himself from shooting attacks.
In the games
In Medarot 2
Sumilidon appears as Koji's first Medabot. Later, Koji backs up his Smilodonad with other Medabots like Rockflower.
In the game's Parts Collection, Sumilidon along with Warbandit, is one of the two first Medabots the player can have.
In Medarot 4
The only way to acquire Sumilidon is through an auction in Medaropolis, where they are also auctioning a King Medal. Koji is also seen with his Sumilidon stored in his room, as he is now using Exor. He is a Kabuto version exclusive.
In Medarot R
Sumilidon is obtainable from the Part Collection by fighting Koji, who is ranked opponent number 3.
In the anime
Sumilidon is Koji Karakuchi's Medabot, and Metabee's rival. He is not much of a talker, usually only speaking when spoken to or when it is extremely important. He is a strong contender. He loves receiving orders, but with a passion. He received training from the Space Medafighter X to learn a special ability with his Flexor Sword part, named the Shadow Sword.
During the Robattle with the U.S.A. Team, Sumilidon gained the ability to use the Medaforce. This led people to believe his Medal was a Rare Medal, however after the studies Dr. Aki ran, his conclusions were his Medal was a clone medal like the others. Dr. Aki had a theory that Sumilidon might have had some ancestral connections to the Rare Medals giving him the Medaforce but this is just a theory. However, this might have something to do with the fact any Medal can use different Medaforces in the games.
Sumilidon has a card in the Medabots Trading Card Game booster set. He attacks with a basic grappling attack.
- Warbandit, his KLN-series counterpart.
