Thanks for the Memories is the twenty-sixth episode of Medabots Spirit. It first aired in Japan on BROADCASTER on December 22, 2000.

Summary[]
Erika looks back on this year and interviews Ikki and Ginkai in order to publish an article about Robattles in her newspaper. Ikki says that the biggest thing that happened was the appearance of Rogue Medafighters in their peaceful town, and he recalls when he met Ginkai.

This is a recap episode with Ikki and Ginkai retelling the events from Kilobot Rising, Once a Medafighter (1), Once a Medafighter (2), and The Agony of the Cheat to Erika.

English dub changes[]
The image of Ginkai and Desperado in the original.
- Most changes done in the original episodes were kept, such as Medarot being changed to Medabot, the addition of stats screens, the muzzle in Desperado's head part being removed, and the scenes where Desperado's head is used being replaced by other scenes.
- While most lines from the flashbacks are identical to the episodes they are from, such as the dub mistake where Ikki told Metabee to fire missiles (from the head) in the beginning of their first match against Ginkai, with Metabee attacking with his arm instead, some lines changed in the dub, appearing to be closer to the original Japanese. For example, in the Kilobot Rising flashback, Ginkai mentioned he is a "Rogue Medafighter" in the first match against Ikki, the term being omitted in the episode itself. Ginkai also told Desperado to fire "Mega Barrel" in the rematch, but as all scenes with Desperado's head is used were editted, Desperado attacked with his arms instead. Of note, in the dub, the episode Who is the Mystery Medafighter?! showed that Mega Barrel is Desperado's head.
- In the Kilobot Rising flashbacks...
- The part where Ginkai mentions he can't wait to face the runner up from the world championship was cut.
- One scene with Metabee was cut.
- The dub added the part where Samantha retrieved Peppercat's Medal.
- Desperado's stats screen was added. In the episode, Desperado was introduced before the fight against Peppercat, but Peppercat was already defeated when the flashback started.
- An eyecatch was added after Desperado defeated Metabee.
- In the end of the first part of the flashback, the new image of Ginkai with Desperado was replaced by the image of them shown in Fighting Temptation.
Ginkai and Arc-Dash.
- In the Once a Medafighter (Parts 1 and 2) flashbacks...
- Ikki talking with the Lone Stranger (Ginkai) before his match against Zuru and Gorem-2 was cut.
- The dub added two more scenes from the match between Ikki and Ginkai.
- Like the episode, the scene where Nae warns Metabee about Unitrix's attack was cut, but in this episode her quote was added between the scenes from her warning.
- In the original, the eyecatch appears after Karasu Tengu stopped the match. In the dub, the middle eyecatch appears after Redrun's appearance, and the last scene is repeated after the eyecatch.
- The dub added Ikki helping Metabee before Redrun's appearance.
- The scene with Kam telling Redrun to change into Action Mode was shortened a bit.
- The dub added the part Redrun changes to Demolition Mode.
- Some scenes from Redrun's battle were cut (such as some views from the audience) or added (Redrun charging in Metabee's direction).
- An eyecatch was added after Arc-Dash was activated with Bayonet's Medal.
- The part showing Ginkai with Bayonet and Arc-Dash in the end of the Once a Medafighter flashbacks was cut.
- Before the flashback from The Agony of the Cheat, Ikki mentions that he had a math test in the dub and a kanji test in the original.

- The scene with a Skelbot falling over some boxes after being hit was replaced by the scene where Arc-Dash shooting at two Skelbots and takes down one of them.
- Ikki's reaction when Nae discovered that he was cheating was shortened a bit.
- The first scene showing the paint cans from a distance was cut.
- The first scene with Arc-Dash using a piece of wood as cover, and the following scene showing two Skelbots, were cut.
- Nae talking with Ikki and Metabee about Ginkai was shortened a bit.
- The dub added the part with the Skelbots starting to surround Arc-Dash.
- The first scene after the last flashback was shortened, cutting Metabee praising Ginkai and Arc-Dash, and the two are embarrassed by the compliments.
- Erika mentioning that she will gift Ginkai and Arc-Dash with a copy of the Amazake Newspaper with the article featuring them was replaced by Erika asking Ginkai and Arc-Dash if they are ready to become popular in the Riverview Junior High School.
- Ikki's last line in the original is "we are super guys", a reference to the opening theme.
