Medabots (anime), Medabots TCG

Warbonnet (ウォーバニット), known in English as Warbandit, is a KLN-type Medabot that first appeared in Medarot 2.

Description

Warbandit is a Medabot that resembles a lion. His Shoot Barrel and Range Shooter Medaparts don't have very high firing rates, but they still deal a good amount of damage. To help his speed, Warbandit has the Tension Up head part, allowing him to move faster. The same part also lets him increase the power of other Medabots, but he must remain completly motionless to do so.

In the games

Along with his STG-type equivalent Sumilidon, Warbonnet is considered "rival" Medarot to the KBT and KWG series. He is used by Koji in the Kuwagata versions. Warbandit uses shooting attacks and is therefore best suitable for the Kabuto Medal.

In Medarot 2

Warbandit appears as Koji's first Medabot in the Kuwagata versions. Koji later backs up Warbandit with Rockflower.

In Medarot 4

The only way to acquire Warbandit is through an auction in Medaropolis. Koji is also seen with his Warbandit stored in his room, as he is now using Unitrix instead.

In the anime

Warbandit is the Medabot username by Victor and apparently has been commanded by him during multiple official Robattle tournaments. Possessing a rare Kabuto Medal, he has access to the Medaforce and has been trained to withstand the side effects. Warbandit is a fiercely loyal Medabot who, as a general rule, displays little emotion, but cares greatly for his owner Victor.

During the Ten Days of Darkness, Warbandit involuntarily attacked his own Medafighter while helping the other Medabots destroy Kenya. Despite his ruined life, Victor still continued to train with Warbandit but having lost trust in him, started to treat him just as a tool rather than a friend. Warbandit deeply regrets this, and longs for Victor to be his friend again, and so obeys every order in hopes of regaining this forgotten trust.

During Dr. Armond and the Rubberobo Gang's assault on the Championship arena, Warbandit acted of his own will to leap between Victor and an attacking Medabot, saving his old friend and causing Victor to realize Warbandit had always followed him simply because the robot still considered Victor his friend. Warbandit's parts, and even his Tinpet, were damaged beyond repair by the battle. Fortunately Victor began to see Warbandit as a friend again after he saved his life and managed to retrieve his medal, promising that they would battle together again soon.

Cards

Warbandit has a card in the Medabots Trading Card Game booster set. He attacks with a basic shooting attack.
