The World Robattle Cup (ロボトル世界大会 Robotoru Sekai Taikai, "Robattle World Tournament", written as "World Robotol Cup" in the Japanese logo), also known as the World Robattle Championship, WRC for short, is a Robattle tournament from the Medabots anime. It is a tournament with the best Medafighter and Medabots from the world that is held every four years.
The forgotten tournament[]

Kingpharaoh vs. Blackram.
The first known tournament in the anime. Hikaru Agata (Japan, with Metabee), Patra (Egypt, with Kingpharaoh), and Joe Swihan (U.S.A., with Wigwamo) were the most popular Medafighters in the tournament, becoming known as the best from the world. Other known participants included Shamojiel (with Redmatador), Harvest (with a Medabot with Knight Armor and Tankar parts), and an unknown Medafighter that had a Blackram.[1][2]
The only known matches in the anime was between Patra's Kingpharaoh and the unknown Medafighter's Blackram, which Patra won, and the finals with Hikaru's Metabee against Patra,[3] which was a fierce Robattle that ended up triggering the conditions to start the event that became known as the Ten Days of Darkness. Due to the damage caused by the Ten Days of Darkness, most records about this tournament were lost, becoming known as the forgotten tournament.
Second tournament[]

The final match between Kenya and Spain.
The second known tournament, shown briefly in For Better, For Worse - Part I. The only known match was the finals between Kenya's Victor and Warbandit versus Spain's Shamojiel and Redmatador, which Victor won. In the dub it is said to have been held in Geneva, Switzerland.
Third tournament[]

The exhibition match about to begin, with Space Medafighter X being late.
The tournament shown during the anime, held by the World Medabot Federation in a dome in Medaropolis. In this tournament each Robattle has two teams battle against each other, each with three Medafighters and three Medabots. Besides the standard Robattle rules, the tournament imposed a new rule that, besides a Medapart, losers must also give the Medal from their Medabots. The tournament was secretly run by the Rubberobo Gang to help them conquer the world by simulating what started the Ten Days of Darkness eight years ago, with the final match being interrupted by them.
Known teams include Japan, Caribbean, Czech, Canada, Egypt, England, France, Greece (Brazil in the Japanese version), Iceland, Kenya, Mexico, Polynesia, Siberia, Spain, Sweden, and U.S.A..

Notes:
- For levels with three values in the normal Robattles, they are for the Normal, Hard and Very Hard difficulties. The same applies to the versions of Arase and Shiden in the EX Robattle.
- The reason Team Sweden does not have Hopstar is due to her being absent in the game.
- Medabots have Medals that are more compatible with them in the game instead of the ones seen in the anime. Also, the Alien Medal was absent in the game.

Trivia[]

WRC stats screen.
- The WRC is mentioned to happen every four years in the Japanese version of the episodes Fifteen Minutes of Shame and The Mother of All Robattles, but the live of the tournament that Ikki watched in For Better, For Worse - Part I happened in less than a year before The Mother of All Robattles. While not mentioned, it is possible that the live Ikki watched may be a rerun of the tournament.
- If the WRC Ikki participated has standard brackets, with no additional or missing spots, then the tournament had 64 matches (65 with the exhibition match) between 128 teams.
- In the dub, the World Robattle Cup was mainly referred as such in texts, while in spoken dialogues it was mainly referred as the World Robattle Championship, with the contrary only happening occasionally.
- The dub added a World Robattle Cup stats screen for each team before the main matches shown in the anime.
